Vet Maria Hristova: Her initial distrust of a new method soon changed into pride about the success she gained by using it.
Hormonost®-Microlab Farmertest – the key to success
Even in a country with difficult agricultural conditions and a major potential for development, Hormonost®-Microlab Farmertest can be used successfully. This new method is the key to solving fertility problems, which so far can not been solved using traditional veterinary approaches.
A report about Hormonost® application in Bulgaria
(Translation bulgarian-german and photo Dipl.-Ing. Stiliyan Kolev)
Initial situation in March - July 2010: Stefan Cholakov’s farm ZK Nova Idea in Jambol has 134 dairy cows. 13 of those cows will be culled due to various reasons. 121 cows are intended for further breeding and, since March 2010, are being managed by the employed veterinarian. All in all the fertility status of the farm is bad; only 35 of the cows have been inseminated (29% of the cows). One genetically valuable cow (Suzy) has not showed any clear signs of heat for over two years. She has already been inseminated 12 times, without any success.
29/07/2010: On behalf of the owner, the farm veterinarian Mrs. Maria Hristova and Mr Stiliyan Kolev, the translator, visited Biolab Munich for an introductory course and to purchase the equipment for Hormonost®-Microlab Farmertest. They travelled 1653 km by overnight bus. In their luggage they brought some milk samples for examination.
End of Nov. 2010: After three months they sent us their first evaluation. With the help of Hormonost®-Microlab they have already managed to get 98 out of 121 cows pregnant, corresponding to 81%. Also the problem cow Suzy is now pregnant, whose milk sample was examined and diagnosed during the introductory course. Further analysis by the vet using the Microlab device and palpatory examinations confirmed the ad hoc diagnosis of a rare fertility disorder (follicle luteinised cyst). Hormonost® is especially used for problem cows and less in cases where everything is alright.
Mid-February 2011: Meanwhile 105 of 121 cows have become pregnant = 86.8%. Further successes:
a) Good A.I. (artifical insemination) success rate: on average 75 of 100 inseminations are successful. This corresponds to an insemination index of approximately 1.33.
b) All 11 problem cows have meanwhile been successfully inseminated. In one case a suspected embryo death in the later stages still needs to be verified.
Summary: The vet Maria Hristova was not just sceptical before her visit to the Hormonost® introductory course, she was very, very sceptical about whether this diagnostic method could help her farm. Since the first evaluation at the end of November 2010, so after three months, she is not just convinced that Hormonost®-Microlab works, but she is 100% convinced that the diagnoses with this method are always accurate. The Hormonost® results have been 100% confirmed through their own veterinary examinations over a period of more that half a year. After all, she was able to improve the fertility of nearly all problem cows in a short amount of time, even in the most difficult or seemingly hopeless cases. This success, which was noticeable almost immediately, makes Mr. Cholakov and Mrs. Christova want to continue with this method.
